Blockbuster Employee Stalks You in Parking Lot Then Calls Cops

I was part of a rather unfortunate event this evening involving a Blockbuster Employee. Before we begin, I think it’s safe to say that some of the movies got to his brain (Bank Job, Italian Job, and Ocean’s 11-12). I am still a little baffled by the entire incident. You see, I take photos — I’m by no means a professional, but it’s a hobby of mine, and I decided that I wanted to go out snap some shots. So I pull into a large retail shopping parking lot and I see Blockbuster in all its shiny blue and gold glory — and I think to myself, “I haven’t rented a movie in weeks, maybe there’s a new release that I haven’t seen yet but want to.” So I parked in front of the building and as I began to walk in I noticed the sign that listed the hours — Blockbuster was closing in 10 minutes. Upon entering the store I saw an employee that seemed to be cleaning the floors. I politely asked if the store was still open and she assured me that I had 10 minutes left, till 11pm.

I wasn’t about to leave nine hundred dollars worth of equipment in my car so my camera accompanied me in the store. I started on the left side of the store beginning with the letter, A. When I was nearing 25% through the alphabet I was approached by what I thought was a customer but just so happened to be an employee not in uniform. He asked if I needed any help finding a movie and I politely said, “no thank you, I’m ok.” He acknowledged my answer and walked away. Throughout the rest of the alphabet, though, he appeared to continuously glance at me from the other end of the store. Once I reached the kid’s section and realized there weren’t anymore new releases I headed for the exit. The employee who wasn’t in the usual Blockbuster-blue garb wished me a good night and I was on my way.
